How to Install a Canopy on Your Tractor
Adding a canopy to your tractor provides valuable protection and comfort during long days. This feature can shield you from everything from the hot sun to pouring rain, helping to enhance your productivity and keep you safe. Fortunately, this option comes standard with the Yanmar YM347 and YM359 models. Here’s everything you need to know to get your canopy set up.
Installing and Removing the Canopy
Installing a canopy on your tractor is a simple process that can be completed in just a few minutes. To get started, line up the groove at the rear of the frame with the front slightly elevated. Then, lower the front of the canopy until it locks into place. Next, check to make sure it is secure before operating your tractor.
Traveling at speeds above 30 miles per hour requires removal of the canopy. To do this, unlatch the canopy and raise it from the striker plate.
If you need to do backhoe work and still want the protection of the canopy, follow these same steps to cover the backhoe seat or other rear-facing implements.
For more information on this process, consult your operator’s manual or local Yanmar dealer.
